This Week in Sandpoint

Marching into the arts in Sandpoint. The Artist Reception for SHS Art Students kicks off Thurs, Mar. 12 with the opening reception featuring an eclectic collection of works from painting to digital art alongside a live performance by the Suzuki String Academy. Amateur Hour Racing also premieres on Thursday night as a documentary following two locals tackling the legendary Baja 1000 with a live Q&A session scheduled immediately after the screening. On Fri, Mar. 13 the Derina Harvey Band parades in for an electrifying St. Paddy's Day celebration filled with high energy Celtic Rock and award winning vocals. Charging ahead, Train Dreams screens on Friday night presenting the Oscar nominated story of an early twentieth century laborer followed by an exclusive discussion led by local experts and friends of the author.
