24 Living with Ease Tapping Workshop. Get over to the Yellow Room, 102 Euclid Ave (Second floor) to learn more in this workshop by Beryl Ryan, RN. Tapping is a self-healing tool that uses a sequence of light physical "tapping" on external acupressure points, allowing you to return your body and mind to a state of wellness. In this intractive workshop you will learn, practice, and explore how this tool can be utilitized in a variety of situations; from physical and emotional pain, to anxiety, stress, and PTSD. 24-26 Sandpoint City Branch Pickup. All branches must be placed outside the curb of residences in Sandpoint city limits by April 24. Stack all brush and branches lengthwise in the street along the curb (not on lawns); no leaves or bagged leaves; maximum branch diameter is 4 inches & no longer than 6 ft.; do not mix other materials (building materials, leaves, grass clippings) or crews will not removed the mixed pile.

25 Recreating in Bear Country. Rob Morris of IDFG will present Recreating in Bear Country, including distinguishing between black and grizzly bears; techniques to minimize conflicts with bears; and the rules for storage of food and other attractants. There will be a demonstration of proper use of bear spray as well. Information will be sent to you about the class location after registration. Class will be held from 9-10:15 a.m. and has a suggested donation of $5.

27 Kaniksu Folk School - Bladesmithing I - Railroad Spike Knife. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Big Red Shed, 11735 W. Pine St. Nick Belfry teaches this skills course that focuses on the essential blacksmithing skills required to make a knife, including forming a tapered tip, flattening the blade, hammering the bevel, and straightening the workpiece. 27 Idahoans for Open Primaries Event. 27 Basic Shotgun Course. Meeting from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at IDFG Farragut Shooting Range Center, 33644 N. Shooters Rd. This course is for adults age 18 and older only. Learn to positively ID plants as well as when and how best to gather them and how to use them for food and/or medicine. Also identify some of the most poisonous plants in North America. Attend each month's walks to see the various plant stages of the same plants as well as the progression through the seasons of the herbs to use. 28-29 Kaniksu Folk School - Ceramic Stoneware Mug. 2-6 p.m. & 2-5 p.m. at The Big Red Shed, 11735 W. Pine St. Use your imagination to create a pinch pot mug with a handle and add any 3-dimensional features you wish. Instructor Jamie Danielson teaches with stoneware clay and glazes, allowing your completed work of art to be oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe. This is a 2-class series, allowing your creation to dry and get fired in the kiln between the class sessions, and returning a third time to pick up your completed project after the final glaze firing.
