Immediately following, FOL will welcome its new and former members as well as the community at large.

25 Lights On Afterschool Event. The afterschool program at Priest River Lamanna High School holds a rally from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in celebration of the Lights on Afterschool nationwide event, with several state and local candidates in attendance. The theme is STEaM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) in government. Free and open to the public.

27 KNPS: Jack Nisbet Presentation on The Leibergs. The Kinnikinnick Native Plant Society and City of Sandpoint Parks and Recreation host a presentation with Jack Nisbet titled \"The Leibergs on Lake Pend Oreille 1885-1907.\" John Leiberg was a late-coming pioneer to North Idaho with a keen interest in native plants; his wife Carrie was an accredited physician who opened a doctor's office in Hope to treat local families. All are invited to this free slide presentation which follows the Leiberg adventures around Lake Pend Oreille and beyond, with Spokane-based teacher and naturalist Nisbet. NativePlantSociety.org.

5 Annual Diabetes Day. The community is invited to attend Bonner General Health's Annual Diabetes Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 423 N. Third Ave, Suite 101. The BGH Diabetes Education Team and pharmacist will provide information on diabetes management and answer questions, plus there will be vendors on-site to provide information on medications and insulin pumps. 6 Parent Grief Support Group. Bonner General Health Community Hospice hosts a bi-monthly support group for parents who have lost a child. The meeting is held at 5:30 p.m. in the BGH Community Hospice conference room at the hospital, 520 N. Third Ave. This is an ongoing and informal support group meeting that is open to all parents who have experienced the loss of a child at any age. Through Nov. 7 BGH Community Hospice Rose Event. The 21st Annual Bonner General Health Community Hospice Rose Event is underway, with roses available for pick-up Nov. 7. Proceeds provide direct client support to the community's families in Bonner and Boundary counties. Receive a dozen roses for each $20 donation made to BGH Community Hospice. First Ave. Andrews researched the role of soil quality on plant productivity, and now resides in Sandpoint.
