1 Movember Fundraiser with Selkirk Fire. 14 Schweitzer Community Day. Schweitzer Mountain Resort hosts a fundraising benefit for Community Cancer Services (CSS) and Bonner Partners in Care Clinic (BPCC). Lift tickets are $10, with 100 percent of the ticket revenue donated to these two organizations! CCS is a nonprofit organization providing information and support to cancer patients and their families; BPCC provides health care to Bonner County residents and adjacent communities who have no medical insurance and meet eligibility criteria. 11 Living Voices' Our Revolution. Presented by the Pend Oreille Arts Council, this is the story of one of many common citizens who fought to bring the words \"All men are created equal\" to life - words with even greater meaning to an African-American soldier in 1776. The live performance plus video presentation tells of an African-American soldier in 1776. Performance is at 7 p.m. (doors at 6:30 p.m.) in the Heartwood Center; supported by a video presentation of historic documents and events. ArtinSandpoint.org.

18-20 Banff Mountain Film Festival. A true gem in the midst of winter is the Banff Mountain Film Festival, back in the Panida Theater. Now in its 23rd year of showing breathtaking adventure films, the festival raises money for local and international good deeds. Festival proceeds continue to support the efforts of the Satipo Kids Project, which funds education opportunities for Peruvian children, plus the North Idaho Mountain Sports Education Fund that provides local kids the ability to enjoy wintertime sports at Schweitzer. Tickets always sell out; get them in advance (when they become available) at Panida.org.
