Small business 'Road Tour' coming
Arrives in Sandpoint September 17
BOISE--The Idaho Small Business Development Center, Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and the Idaho Department of Commerce hold the annual SBIR Idaho Road Tour, with a stop in Sandpoint slated for Sept. 17 in the Sandpoint Library, 1407 Cedar St. The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Road Tour will discuss state and national grant programs available to small businesses across the State of Idaho.
The SBIR Road Tour is an opportunity for technology startups, innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers to learn how to access $2.5 billion in early stage non-dilutive technology funding, meet one-on-one with decision makers, and connect with local state innovation ecosystem members. Individuals can also learn about the $1 million in commercialization grants available through the Idaho Global Entrepreneurial Mission (IGEM), and collaboration opportunities with the Department of Energy through the Idaho National Laboratory.
"The SBIR and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funds are available each year to Idaho’s small technology companies," said Dave McEwen, SBIR Program Manager, Idaho Small Business Development Center. "These funds encourage domestic small businesses to take on high-growth technology research and development challenges, and launch new products. The Idaho SBIR Road Tour allows entrepreneurs and small business owners to connect with experts, ask questions, and see if they qualify for this amazing program."
