One judge said that this photo "truly captures a quintessential moment" in a day in the life of Sandpoint.

The photographer wrote: "Taken before the Jackie Greene/David Gray concert at the Festival. I was up in the press box above the bleachers as they counted down the opening of the gates, and was lucky enough to get a sequence shot of all the people making the mad dash for good blanket positions - in a matter of seconds, the grass was gone, replaced by a patchwork of different colors."
