Judges simply said they "love this photo," and, of course, it won the most votes of any photo submitted in November. Using the roughed-in living room window as a framework for this photo greatly enhanced its composition. Snowfall came suddenly and the powder piled up quickly, creating some wonderful photo opportunites around Sandpoint in late November. A first-time contributor to Sandpoint in Pictures, this photographer took advantage of those conditions.

The photographer wrote: "Did not quite get the roof on in time, in our new log home up on Baldy. Next year at this time: A nice view from the living room. I got a lot of feedback on this particular shot, especially from my family in Tucson where it was 85 degrees that day!" Taken Nov. 24.
