Fall Fest Returns to Schweitzer Mountain Resort!
23rd Edition of Three Day Microbrew Fest Set for Sept 5-7
SANDPOINT, ID--Schweitzer Mountain Resort is gearing up for its 23rd Annual Fall Fest, Labor Day weekend, Sept 5-7, 2015. This legendary three-day event will feature over 60 regional microbrews with free live music all weekend long.
"Beer enthusiasts know that our regional microbrews are some of the best in the country and Fall Fest makes it easy to sample so many of them in a fantastic setting," said Dig Chrismer, Marketing Manager for Schweitzer. "Three days of great beers with good friends and free live music. What better way is there to wrap up your summer?"
"The bands we have lined up are all crowd favorites," said Brandon Peterson, Events Manager for Schweitzer Mountain Resort. "Great local talents like Devon Wade & The Miah Kohal Band plus Spare Parts, Cathedral Pearls, Dimestore Prophets, Rust on the Rails, Strictly Business and our big finale with Hell's Belles- the female AC/DC tribute band- Monday afternoon. They blew us all away at Fall Fest last year and it's awesome that they will be back again."
Fall Fest starts Saturday, Sept 5 and concludes on Monday, Sept 7. Beer tastings run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. "We will also have wine tastings and a soda tent for our non-beer drinkers," said Peterson. "Local vendors will be on hand too selling arts & crafts and food all three days."
Schweitzer's village activities, including the Monkey Jumper, zip line, climbing wall, sluice box, and scenic chairlift rides, will be in operation during the weekend event.
"Take a ride on the lift between bands and enjoy the view with your brew," said Chrismer. "Labor Day weekend will be our last full weekend of summer operations so if you haven't had a vacation at Schweitzer this summer, Fall Fest is a great excuse to do just that."
