Garfield Bay

12 miles SE of Sandpoint on Garfield Bay Rd.

Green Bay

16 miles SE of Sandpoint

Sam Owen

21 miles E of Sandpoint

Lake Pend Oreille. Water, toilets, dump station, covered picnic area, beach, boat launch, trailer spaces up to 36', no hookups, 8-person limit per site, 78 sites. Whiskey Rock

Farragut

25 miles S of Sandpoint, 4 miles E of Athol

Lake Pend Oreille. Water, toilets, showers, dock, 60' maximum trailer spaces, swimming, group shelters, shooting range, 18-hole disc golf course, volleyball area, playground, model airplane flying field, dump station, boat ramps, boat camping, docks, sewage pump out, and trails for hikers, bikers and equestrians. Guided walks, programs, education center, historic brig, Naval Training Center Museum. 108 units plus four group campgrounds, 63 tent/non-hook-up sites, 45 hook-up (water and electricity) sites; campsite reservations are available from the Friday of the weekend prior to Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Round Lake

Round Lake. Water, toilets, showers, dock, 24' trailer spaces, no hookups, dump station, showers, flush toilets, swimming, hiking, fishing, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, group day-use shelter, barbecue grills, firewood, canoe rentals, boat ramp (electric motors only), 51 units. Albeni Cove

Priest River

Priest River. Also known as the Mudhole. Riley Creek

15 miles W of Sandpoint, 1 mile S of Laclede

Pend Oreille River. Water, toilets, showers, trailer spaces up to 50', swimming, dump station, boat ramp, boat basin, dock, playground, play field, bicycle and hiking trail, two shelters, horseshoe pits, firewood, showers, flush toilets, 67 units with water and option for electric. Springy Point

Luby Bay, Upper and Lower

Indian Creek

Squaw Bay

Lion Head

Reeder Bay

36 miles N of Priest River, 3 miles east on Reeder Bay Rd.

Kalispell Island & Bartoo Island

32 miles N of Priest River, 1.5 miles east on Kalispell Bay Road, 0.5 miles south on West Shore to launch from Kalispell Public Boat Launch. Kalispell Island is directly east of launch site; Bartoo is southeast of Kalispell.

On Kalispell and Bartoo islands at Priest Lake. Kalispell has 5 units at Schneider (SW end), 5 units at North Cove (N. end), 8 units at Silver (SW end), 7 units at Three Pines (E. end) and 7 units at Rocky Point (E. end). Bartoo has 4 units at North Bartoo, 1 unit at Solo Two, 7 units at South Bartoo, 1 unit at Bartoo Solo, 5 units at Sunshine, 2 units at Sunrise Group Site, 3 units at West Sunshine and 1 unit at Lone Pine. $10 per night includes launch and parking. Porta potties required; vault toilets available at some sites. Free park and launch at the F.S. public boat launch, if you're camping on Kalispell or Bartoo Island; otherwise its $5 to launch and $3 to park per night. Lakeshore

Upper Priest Lake

Stagger-Inn

Deer Ridge Lookout

Shorty Peak Lookout

31 miles NW of Bonners Ferry via Forest Road No. 282 and Trail No. 95

In the Selkirk Mountains overlooking the Selkirk Crest. 14-foot-by-14-foot cabin accessible by a 2.5-mile hike. $25 per night. Reservations are required. (FS) (208) 267-5561. Reservations are required at 1-877-444-6777 at www.recreation.gov.

Snyder Guard Station

30 miles NE of Bonners Ferry on Meadow Creek Road/County Road No. 34.

On the Moyie River, Snyder Guard Station was built in 1908 as a ranger station. The house has 5 twin beds, electricity, running water, shower, stove and refrigerator. A horse corral is included on the grounds. $50 for 1-6 people per night, $70 for 7-15 people per night, and $110 for 16-70 people per night. For 7 or more people, rental includes a cook shack, bunk cabins and campground. For more than 25 people, a porta-potty is required. Reservations are required. (FS) (208) 267-5561.
