Summer SamplerSummer Sampler
The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce invites the community to the annual Summer Sampler on Thursday, June 25, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Farmin Park at Oak St. & N. Fourth Ave. for an evening that celebrates the best of local flavor, music, and community spirit. Stroll through the park as Sandpoint's top restaurants, caterers, vintners, and brewers serve up signature small bites and sips, giving guests the chance to nibble their way through an impressive lineup of culinary creations. With live music from Mattox Farm Productions, libations, giveaways, and activities for the whole family, it's one of the most anticipated summer gatherings in town. Tasting tickets are available throughout the evening at $1 for one taste, $5 for five, $10 for ten tastes plus a raffle ticket, and $20 for twenty tastes plus two raffle tickets, making it easy to explore a wide variety of offerings at your own pace. Monarch GrindMonarch Grind
Taking place on Saturday, June 27, the 2026 Monarch Grind is a 59-mile gravel race with 7,879 feet of elevation gain, starting at 8:00 a.m. PST in Clark Fork, Idaho, with parking at Clark Fork High School, 502 N. Main St. The route begins around 2,000 feet in elevation and winds through town, across the Clark Fork River, and into a sustained climb toward the Green Monarchs and Coeur d'Alene Mountains, topping out before descending toward the Pend Oreille Lake basin. Riders then pass through shaded cedar forests and mountain streams before one final major climb and a descent back into Clark Fork. A fully stocked aid station is available at the top of the first major climb (about mile 11) and again near mile 48 after the final ascent, and the finish brings riders back to town for a celebratory post-race meal and drinks included with entry. A Night at the ImprovA Night at the Improv

Access to the site requires a chairlift ride (last ride down at 5 p.m.) or a strenuous 2.5-mile hike. Bring low-back chairs or blankets, and feel free to pack a picnic or purchase food onsite. 1 Eurythmy Movement Performance: 'The Nightingale'. Experience the beauty of Eurythmy in 'The Nightingale,' a rare performance by a professional troupe from Mount Shasta accompanied by live flute music. This exquisitely crafted theatrical interpretation of Hans Christian Andersen's timeless fairy tale offers an evening of movement, music and storytelling that will delight children, families and individuals alike, exploring themes of authentic beauty and the value of what is real over what is merely perfect. 1 Bel Canto Opera. The Bel Canto Opera presents Singvergnugen at 7 p.m. at Little Carnegie, featuring Max Mendez, Karin Wedemeyer, Brenda Rutledge and Melody Puller. 2-5 1776: The Musical. Celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence with a Honey Pearl Production at The Panida, 300 N. First Ave. This spirited production follows John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson as they navigate the wit, tension, and personal sacrifices required to birth a new nation. Performances run July 2-4 at 7 p.m., with a final matinee on July 5 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25. Purchase tickets at panida.org.

3 Live Music with The Plastic Owls. Don't miss a live performance by The Plastic Owls from 6-9 p.m. on the outdoor stage in the backyard of the Blue Heron Cafe, 486260 U.S. Highway 95.

4 Fourth of July Celebration. Celebrate Independence Day in Sandpoint with the annual Sandpoint Lions Fourth of July Celebration. The festivities kick off with the Kids Parade at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Grand Parade at 10 a.m., before continuing with a community carnival, food vendors and a beer garden at City Beach. To take part in the parade, go to the Lions Club Facebook page or website.

4 Clark Fork: 4th of July. It all begins at 7 a.m. with the Freedom Fun Run (contact fillingstationyouth.com or 208-290-4250 to participate), followed by the VFW flag raising on the school grounds at 8:30 a.m. The parade, "Happy Birthday America! 250th," steps off at 9:30 a.m., and at 10:15 a.m. activities continue at the school grounds with foot races, food, vendors, drawings, and more. At noon, festivities move to Memorial Field for an airplane drop, turtle races, watermelon-eating contests, log-sawing competitions, and additional events. The day wraps up with a fireworks display at dusk.

4 Hands on History. Join at the Bonner County History Museum, 611 Ella Ave. starting at 10 a.m. and running until 2 p.m. Enjoy historical crafts for kids of all ages, and free entry to the museum.

4 Priest River: 4th of July Family Fun Festival. Priest River Youth Connections and the Odd Fellows invite families to enjoy a day of free, family-friendly fun at 111 Main St. in Priest River. Activities include a mechanical bull, arena jousting, a foam street party, plastic axe throwing, snow cones, minute-to-win-it challenges and a variety of game booths, along with vendors, food and prizes. All Star Jump will operate the mechanical bull and jousting from noon to 4 p.m., while vendors will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For details, visit the event page.

4: 1776 Prefunk Fundraiser Dinner. Kick off your Independence Day celebrations starting at 5 p.m. at the Little Panida, 302 N. First Ave. For $70-$95, guests will enjoy a catered dinner by Ivano's and an intimate "Cinema Soul" performance by artist JoDavi, followed by a short walk to the main theater for a showing of 1776: The Musical. Hosted by Honey Pearl Productions, this special event honors America's 250th anniversary with proceeds directly benefiting the North Idaho Veterans Nonprofit. Get tickets here.

5 Sandpoint Beerfest. The 12th annual Beerfest event will take place at the Sandpoint City Beach from noon to 5 p.m. on the lawn of Averill Hospitality's Sandpoint Lakeside Resort.
